JENNY LAYTON

Senior Acupuncturist | Masters of Complementary Medicine

Jenny is our lovely, warm and compassionate acupuncturist with over 20 years’ clinical experience in women’s health, fertility and pregnancy care. She is dedicated to optimising physical and emotional wellbeing so that everyone can lead lives well lived.

Continuing study and practice has given Jenny a deep appreciation of the way the ancient wisdom of Chinese medicine aligns with modern research and scientific theory.  Since completing a Health Science degree with Honours in TCM Acupuncture (2000) including a Certificate of Advanced Clinical Acupuncture Practice from the Affiliated Shenyang Hospital in China, Jenny has pursued further studies in women’s health under international experts, and also completed a Master’s degree in Complementary Medicine in 2018 (RMIT University).

Over many years of exploring Chinese medicine and philosophy, Jenny has found that the wonderful Chinese traditions of nourishing life (yangsheng), combined with acupuncture, powerfully support women and men to find their own balance.  This balance looks beautifully different and unique for everyone, and treatment is tailored to reflect this real world authenticity.  This can involve nourishing and strengthening to enable change, or letting go, or finding a way to live with things – usually a bit of everything!

Jenny understands that plenty of people are anxious about acupuncture, and loves to provide gentle and supportive care.  Most people are pleasantly surprised at how deeply relaxing treatment can be.  Change and flow are at the heart of Chinese medicine, and often a sense of greater alignment within your life.  It is a great privilege for Jenny to be able to share this part of your journey with you.
